Together, the two companies anticipate creating more than 250 new technical jobs in Geneva.<\/h4>\n<p>California-headquartered <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsrlifesciences.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JSR Life Sciences<\/a> has announced the expansion of the European gene-to-GMP biologics manufacturing facilities of its affiliate companies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kbibiopharma.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KBI Biopharma<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/selexis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Selexis<\/a> in Geneva. The two companies will occupy 8,700 square meters in the <a href=\"https:\/\/commercial-stellar32.ch\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stellar 32 campus<\/a> within Geneva\u2019s ZIPLO (Industrial Zone Plan-les-Ouates).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis expansion is a cornerstone of our European growth strategy, which builds on Selexis\u2019 innovative cell line technologies and KBI\u2019s strong expertise in biologics manufacturing to meet the needs of our clients\u2019 clinical trial requirements,\u201d explained Dirk Lange, President and CEO of KBI Biopharma and CEO of Selexis, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jsrlifesciences.com\/press-releases\/jsr-life-sciences-expands-european-gene-gmp-biologics-manufacturing-facilities-selexis-kbi-geneva-switzerland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">in a press release<\/a>. The co-located operations will help meet the needs of JSR Life Sciences\u2019s European client base.<\/p>\n<p>KBI Biopharma\u2019s new facility, scheduled to be operational by mid-2022, will include two 2,000L single-use cGMP manufacturing trains with process development and analytical testing labs. More than 200 technical positions in development, operations, and quality assurance will be created.<\/p>\n<p>Selexis\u2019 Geneva footprint will increase by 200% once the expanded site is operational by mid-2021.
