Studies indicate that as little as four percent of all healthcare research is\u00a0targeted at women\u2019s health, despite the fact that women in general spend an\u00a0estimated USD 500 billion in medical expenses annually.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the EPFL Innovation Park<\/a> and Groupe Mutuel<\/a>\u00a0have launched Tech4Eva<\/a>, a joint program with the purpose of developing FemTech start-ups\u00a0by leveraging the combined resources, ecosystems and networks of the two\u00a0organizations.<\/p>\n

The program aspires to create community of students, researchers and\u00a0innovators (female and male) working together to develop new ideas and\u00a0technologies that improve the health of women.<\/p>\n

Tech4Eva is open to start-ups and innovators from Switzerland and\u00a0around the globe. The program is looking for innovative solutions addressing any\u00a0female health area, including pregnancy, fertility, menstruation, menopause, mental\u00a0health, family planning, breast cancer, cervical cancer, etc.<\/p>\n

The solutions can be wide-ranging,\u00a0including apps, exchange platforms, drugs or preventive medicine, and\u00a0diagnostic tools or therapeutic devices supported by artificial intelligence (AI).<\/p>\n

EPFL Innovation Park and Groupe Mutuel, a winning combination<\/h4>\n

Start-ups selected for the Tech4Eva program will benefit from one of the best health ecosystems in Europe.<\/p>\n

In Lausanne in the canton of Vaud, the EPFL Innovation Park\u2019s proven expertise and strong business network\u00a0and the \u201cHealth Valley<\/a>\u201d around it will grant them access international\u00a0partnerships and investors.<\/p>\n

They will also be able to work on pilot projects within\u00a0Groupe Mutuel and its client companies and access a dynamic market with one of\u00a0leading health insurers in Switzerland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
