Launched in 2020 as an EPFL<\/a> spin-off, CompPair<\/a> invented a new composite material able to repair itself: damage from manufacturing, impact, or fatigue can easily be repaired in only one minute by applying heat.<\/p>\n

CompPair helps its clients build better products that last longer and produce less waste. Their technology acts during the whole lifetime of products, helping manufacturers, consumers and the planet. CompPair\u2019s first product family, HealTech, has witnessed a large interest within the sports and marine sectors.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The start-up has\u00a0successfully closed a seed round of CHF 950,000 CHF with an additional opportunity for gobble up. The round was led by the\u00a0StartAngels Network<\/a>\u00a0and a sustainability pioneer in the composites industry, along with precious contributions from private investors.<\/p>\n

The seed investment round will allow the company to continue implementing the HealTech family within the composites market by extending the production capacity and building pilots to penetrate new industries.<\/p>\n

An adventure of many successes<\/h4>\n

CompPair has been very active in the European start-up ecosystem. It was selected by Space4Impact<\/a> as the start-up of the year 2020, and its pre-impregnated textiles received the Solar Impulse Foundation Label<\/a> in 2020.<\/p>\n

The Vaud-based company was also a finalist of the Hello Tomorrow Global challenge in the aeronautics track, the JEC Startup booster 2020-2021 and the Swiss Technology Award at the Switzerland Innovation Forum.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
