After launching its enhanced creativity platform for classroom-based and distance learning in early 2021, Geneva-based edtech Baobabooks Education<\/a>\u00a0has just been selected for the World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE<\/a>) accelerator program supported by the Qatar Foundation.<\/p>\n

Despite significant progress made since the UN\u2019s Sustainable Development Goals were first announced, according to the United Nations over 200 million children will still be out of school in 2030. While distance learning and home schooling are a growing trend in education, access to quality education remains an issue.<\/p>\n

Baobabooks hopes its platform can be used to help young people and adults across the world achieve relevant and recognized proficiency levels in functional at successful completion of basic education by 2030.<\/p>\n

Leveraging teacher-friendly technology, the Baobabooks platform is already available in six languages and supports classroom-based and remote learning. Students can upload their own art to illustrate their books or choose from the existing library of 2.4 million images.<\/p>\n

An ever-growing social impact company<\/h4>\n

Baobabooks offers out its platform for free to children and parents and charge schools an annual fee based on the number of users they want to register.<\/p>\n

Additionally, as a social impact company, and in support of the UN SDG #4 (education), the edtech gives out its platform for free to schools from underserved geographies. The company has 16,000+ registered users from 41 schools in five countries, a number growing every week.<\/p>\n

Baobabooks Education is currently expanding its team to meet the growing demand of its activities and adding new formats and more languages to expand its engagement with kids and utility for educators.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
