As a result, Daphne contributes to a circular economy and a significant reduction in GHG emissions.<\/p>\n<h4>A substantial impact across the energy system<\/h4>\n<p>Because Daphne&#8217;s technology can be applied to multiple fuel types, it has the potential to make a substantial impact across the energy system. This potential was recognized by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.shell.com\/energy-and-innovation\/new-energies\/shell-ventures.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shell Ventures<\/a>, who\u00a0led the CHF 10 million capital raise along with\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trafigura.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trafigura<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aet-tankers.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AET<\/a>, and all previous investors co-invested, including\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/saev.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures<\/a>\u00a0and the Innovation Fund. The capital raise earmarks the second round of funding since Daphne Technology spun off from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfl.ch\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPFL<\/a> in 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Mario Michan, Founder and CEO of Daphne Technology, commented: &#8220;The capital raise enables us to deploy our systems and expand our portfolio of emission reduction solutions.
