{"id":14851,"date":"2022-02-09T10:03:00","date_gmt":"2022-02-09T09:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ggba.swiss\/cybersecurity-start-up-cysec-raises-chf-4-million-to-support-european-growth\/"},"modified":"2023-07-04T13:40:28","modified_gmt":"2023-07-04T11:40:28","slug":"cybersecurity-start-up-cysec-raises-chf-4-million-to-support-european-growth","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ggba.swiss\/en\/cybersecurity-start-up-cysec-raises-chf-4-million-to-support-european-growth\/","title":{"rendered":"Cybersecurity start-up CYSEC raises CHF 4 million to support European growth"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cysec.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CYSEC<\/a> develops ARCA, a hardware-based trusted execution environment (TEE) securing sensitive data and workloads with a full stack protection \u2013 from hardware, to kernel, to application, on premise, on the cloud and on the edge.<\/p>\n<p>Located at the EPFL Innovation Park in Lausanne (canton of Vaud), CYSEC has closed a seed extension financing round led by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linebreakcapital.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Line Break Capital<\/a>\u00a0and supported by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.indacosgr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Indaco Venture Partners SGR<\/a>, with a fundraising of CHF 4 million. The company welcomes new investors and partners, namely Indaco Ventures I Fund,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/bvventures.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blockchain Valley Ventures<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boundaryholding.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Boundary Holding<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/horizoncap.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Horizon Capital<\/a>, and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/4seeventures.ch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4see Ventures<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This additional investment, which brings the total company funding to CHF 7 million, will support the growth of CYSEC in its target markets, namely Digital Assets\/DeFi and Edge Computing (including Space), that are facing an exponentially growing amount of data in use, requiring protection for sensitive data.<\/p>\n<h4>Protecting digital assets through state-of-the-art security solutions<\/h4>\n<p>\u201cDigital assets are quickly becoming a strategic imperative, and CYSEC ARCA creates the necessary virtual sovereignty for sensitive data,\u201d said Patrick Trinkler, CEO and co-founder of CYSEC. \u201cWe are glad to add Indaco to our\u00a0list of investors.
