Launched in 2019, Foodetective<\/a> is building an all-in-one platform and unified API to help merchants manage and automate their operations. Lifelong friends and co-founders Andrea Tassistro and Edouard Thimon saw an opportunity to address the challenges faced by merchants in the food and beverage industry.<\/p>\n

These merchants often use an average of 18 different applications to manage their businesses, leading to decentralized operations and fragmented data. Tassistro and Thimon saw a potential solution in the creation of a unifying operating system and API that could help merchants streamline their operations and manage their data more effectively.<\/p>\n

Merchants can connect their systems and tools through a click-and-connect Integration Hub, which currently offers +250 integrations. The data is centralized and accessible via an analytics dashboard\u00a0: it equips merchants with precise insights to seamlessly manage their operations, including reviews, orders, reservations, suppliers, stocks, marketing, and much more.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The most recent funding round in the amount of USD 5.5 million was led by Prediction Capital<\/a> in the funding round, with participation from 4SeeVentures<\/a>, Filippo Catalano, Serge Schoen, Luigi Matrone, and Eugenio Cassiano.<\/p>\n

Becoming the most relevant online infrastructure & intelligence for the merchant industry<\/h4>\n

With the funding, the Geneva-based company will develop its technology with the implementation of machine learning algorithms and expand its IT team. This development aligns with the company\u2019s Open API announcement and grants further value to the adjacent business app. Foodetective will soon turn five years and is now on the road to becoming the most relevant online Infrastructure & Intelligence of the merchant industry.<\/p>\n
