Switzerland, a powerhouse of food innovation and number one in the IMD World Talent Rankings<\/a>, now has its own dedicated job platform<\/a> to attract high-impact talent to its food sector. The platform, an initiative of the Swiss Food & Nutrition Valley (SFNV), is designed to simplify job searches for newly qualified talent and career changers, connecting them with a range of leading Swiss employers, from pioneering startups to global multinationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a solid reputation in the global agrifood sector and home to numerous multinational food companies and over 160 foodtech start-ups, the country is striving to accelerate its food innovation ecosystem. SFNV, a nationwide initiative, plays a critical role in this effort, aiming to develop, strengthen, and promote food innovation in Switzerland and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SFNV’s new job platform features roles from diverse sectors and its partners, including prominent institutions and companies like ETH Z\u00fcrich, Sight and Life, Planted, Ecorobotix, Insolight, and farmer connect. Opportunities range from leadership positions to internships, thereby appealing to a wide talent pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In light of a European Commission report<\/a> indicating that 30% of the world\u2019s greenhouse gas emissions are related to our food system, this platform also serves as a key tool for professionals and organizations aiming to mitigate these challenges through food innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing persistent food system issues<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

SFNV President Martin Vetterli emphasized the significance of attracting and retaining individuals dedicated to shaping a sustainable food system. He believes that this platform can aid in connecting such talent with Switzerland’s most innovative employers, enabling collaborative efforts to address persistent food system issues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christina Senn-Jakobsen, the Valley\u2019s Managing Director, hailed Switzerland as a leading food nation. She expressed hope that the new job platform will underscore the diverse opportunities available and simplify the job search process for individuals determined to instigate change in the food system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform not only simplifies job hunting for food innovators but also aids employers in sourcing the right talent. By offering two packages to promote roles, with SFNV members receiving 50 free adverts, the platform aims to streamline the recruitment process for companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
