This funding aims to further develop its pioneering mycelium fermentation technology, which transforms agricultural side streams into superior, sustainable feed for farmed seafood. The company&#8217;s commitment to sustainable development goals (SDGs) drives its innovation in creating economically viable and nutritionally advanced products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded by Constantin Marakhov, Sean Wassermann, and John Ericsson, Kidemis is headquartered in Zollikofen (canton of Bern) and addresses critical sustainability challenges within the aquafeed sector. With the global aquafeed market nearing CHF 80 billion annually, the demand for sustainable alternatives to traditional fishmeal is urgent due to the ongoing depletion of ocean resources and shifts towards healthier diets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Venture Kick funds will enable Kidemis to advance its biotechnological innovations at the Bern University of Applied Sciences (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bfh.ch\/en\/\">BFH-HAFL<\/a>), where the team is currently conducting intensive live fish trials.
