This groundbreaking project, led by eco-explorers Bertrand Piccard and Raphael Dinelli, aims to complete the first non-stop round-the-world flight powered by green hydrogen in 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Weber, Managing Director at GreenGT, expressed his excitement about the collaboration, stating: &#8220;We are thrilled and honoured to be selected by 49 SUD to work on the propulsion. The company has previously made headlines with its electric-hydrogen innovations, such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/ggba.swiss\/en\/electric-hydrogen-pioneer-greengt-partners-with-liebherr\/\">NGT fuel-cell system designed for heavy-duty vehicles<\/a>, and its <a href=\"https:\/\/ggba.swiss\/en\/speed-record-for-an-electric-hydrogen-propulsion-vehicle-co-developed-by-greengt\/\">involvement in the MissionH24 project<\/a>, where the H24 prototype set a speed record for hydrogen-powered vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Leveraging innovative technologies to advance sustainable aviation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The Climate Impulse airplane represents a significant step forward in sustainable aviation. The project aims to demonstrate the viability of environmentally-friendly technologies by tackling the major challenges of aviation, such as building an aircraft around two liquid hydrogen tanks, maintaining the temperature at -253\u00b0C, and powering electric motors through fuel cells. The fuel cell systems developed by GreenGT will feature a power output of 2 x 200 kW, achieving the highest efficiency level and weight power ratio in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.syensqo.com\/en\/\">Syensqo<\/a>, a key partner in the Climate Impulse project, will support GreenGT by providing innovative materials to achieve record-breaking power density.
