The company will work with energy provider <a href=\"https:\/\/www.groupe-e.ch\/fr\">Groupe E<\/a> to develop a heat pump system in Englisberg using ExerGo&#8217;s compact and lightweight CO2-based closed-loop technology. This system will efficiently transport energy from Lake Schiffenen to the Englisberg plant, producing 70 GWh of renewable heat per year. Integrated into Fribourg&#8217;s district heating network, the project is expected to contribute 6% of the region&#8217;s renewable energy, marking an important step in Fribourg&#8217;s energy transition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alberto Mian, CEO and co-founder of ExerGo, highlighted the importance of this project as a prime example of how ExerGo\u2019s low-temperature network can make a significant difference in heat transfer projects, especially in challenging terrains with limited space for technical installations. \u201cTransporting energy with water would require bulky and costly infrastructure, and using glycol to prevent freezing poses considerable environmental risks,\u201d Mian explained. ExerGo\u2019s innovative approach using CO2 technology not only mitigates these challenges but also sets a new standard for sustainable energy solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ongoing projects and future prospects<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this flagship project, ExerGo is actively pursuing national and European commercialization of its technology. The company is currently working on several similar installations for other clients, with plans to unveil these projects over the next three to four years. Mian expressed pride in the company&#8217;s positive momentum, stating that ExerGo&#8217;s achievements are laying the groundwork for a new technological standard in the use of natural resources and residual heat to decarbonize energy services, including both district heating and cooling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ExerGo&#8217;s selection for this major project in Fribourg follows the company&#8217;s recent success in <a href=\"https:\/\/ggba.swiss\/en\/eur-1-million-to-deploy-exergos-sustainable-energy-network\/\">raising EUR 1 million from existing investors<\/a>, further solidifying its position as a key player in the sustainable energy sector. As the company continues to gain recognition and expand its operations, it remains focused on advancing the use of renewable resources to meet the growing demand for energy efficient solutions in high
