Bengaluru-based deep-tech start-up CynLr<\/a> (Cybernetics Laboratory), a leader in visual intelligence, robotics, and cybernetics, has taken a significant step in its global expansion with the opening of its first international design and research center at the Unlimitrust Campus<\/a> in Prilly (canton of Vaud). The announcement was made during the Swiss-Indian Innovation Week, organized by Innovaud and Switzerland Global Enterprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration, attended by Prilly Mayor Alain Gilli\u00e8ron, reinforces CynLr\u2019s commitment to advancing its robotics and vision technologies within Switzerland\u2019s renowned innovation ecosystem. Collaborations with Swiss institutions like EPFL\u2019s LASA lab<\/a> and CSEM<\/a> have played a pivotal role in this endeavor, leveraging their expertise to further develop CynLr\u2019s proprietary vision platform, CLX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Transforming automation with visual intelligence<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

CynLr\u2019s flagship robotic platform, CyRo, equipped with the CLX-01 vision stack, addresses longstanding challenges in automation. Unlike traditional robotics that require costly and time-intensive customization, CynLr\u2019s visual intelligence enables robots to dynamically adapt to diverse objects and environments, handling more than 100,000 unique items regardless of lighting or surface variations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAutomation today is hindered by extensive customization costs and design delays,\u201d explained Gokul NA, CynLr\u2019s co-founder. \u201cOur platform revolutionizes this by allowing robots to grasp unknown objects without prior training. This breakthrough transforms material handling and expands automation possibilities across industries.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Swiss center will focus on expanding CynLr\u2019s partnerships and supply chain, benefiting from Innovaud and SPEI\u2019s support in fostering local connections. CynLr\u2019s cutting-edge robotics solutions are already being explored by clients in automotive, warehousing, and logistics sectors, including global giants like General Motors and Denso.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The center\u2019s establishment follows CynLr\u2019s successful USD 10 million Series A funding round, which also supports team expansion in Switzerland. Additionally, the start-up recently hired Dr. Michael Bombile, a seasoned robotics researcher from EPFL\u2019s LASA lab, further strengthening its innovation capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
