With the support of the Neuch\u00e2tel cantonal government since its inception, the initiative seeks to preserve and advance Swiss expertise in watchmaking and haute joaillerie. By combining traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology, MTTA aims to secure Switzerland\u2019s leadership in the global watch industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scheduled to be housed at the newly designed <a href=\"https:\/\/ggba.swiss\/en\/le-locle-will-be-home-to-the-new-mtta-watchmaking-center-of-excellence-by-2028\/\">HDV7 building in Le Locle by 2028<\/a>, MTTA will serve as a hub for collaboration among industry players, academic institutions, and innovative enterprises. The space, envisioned by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microcity.ch\/\">Microcity<\/a>, is tailored to foster synergies, encourage applied research, and drive innovation. Partner organizations, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.he-arc.ch\/en\/domain\/engineering\/\">Haute \u00c9cole Arc Ing\u00e9nierie<\/a> and the Neuch\u00e2tel Professional Training Center (CPNE), will also contribute to the hub\u2019s vibrant ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A catalyst for research, innovation and heritage preservation<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The CHF 1.6 million funding will enhance MTTA\u2019s capacity to promote research and training in watchmaking and jewelry arts. The project will support collaborations with academic institutions, develop cutting-edge technologies, and preserve essential craftsmanship skills. By integrating new advancements into its operations, MTTA bridges the gap between Switzerland\u2019s rich horological heritage and its innovative future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a recognized research infrastructure of national importance, MTTA solidifies its role as a cornerstone of Swiss watchmaking excellence.
