Switzerland\u2019s cleantech sector continues to gain momentum, driven by start-ups developing scalable digital tools for the energy transition. One such example is SolarSplit<\/a>, whose platform streamlines the adoption of solar power by connecting homeowners with trusted professionals. With growing public interest in renewable energy and a supportive regulatory environment, the company\u2019s expansion into Vaud reflects a broader shift toward decentralized, user-friendly solutions in the photovoltaic space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The launch event took place at Lab HyperAktiv in Ecublens, where nearly 180 partners, investors, and solar energy professionals gathered to witness the next step in SolarSplit\u2019s development. The Neuch\u00e2tel-based company, co-founded by Wilfried Josset and Lionel Brodard, received the Prix BCN Innovation 2023<\/a> for its efforts to democratize access to solar power through digital innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter a successful pilot phase in Neuch\u00e2tel, this expansion marks a key acceleration of our deployment in French-speaking Switzerland,\u201d said CEO Wilfried Josset. \u201cVaud is a strategic territory with high solar potential and property owners who are increasingly committed to the energy transition. This validates our approach and brings us closer to our ambition of democratizing access to solar energy through an intuitive, community-driven digital platform.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Available on iOS and Android, the SolarSplit app allows homeowners to simulate solar projects, access local subsidies, and connect with qualified installers through a structured bidding process. Acting as a neutral facilitator, the platform ensures transparency and efficiency throughout the solar installation journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next: expansion to Valais and beyond<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The start-up\u2019s next step will be a launch in the canton of Valais, followed by a gradual expansion to the rest of Switzerland. To support this growth, SolarSplit is currently raising funds, with several investors already committed.
