The financing will support the scale-up and commercialization of the company\u2019s proprietary Aldehyde-Assisted Fractionation (AAF) technology, designed to transform plant-based biomass into renewable materials for industrial use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The round was led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.a-ventures.ch\/en\">Ana\u00efs Ventures<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/valquest-partners\/\">Valquest Partners<\/a>, with participation from a broad group of investors, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthroughenergy.org\/\">Breakthrough Energy Ventures<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/am.lombardodier.com\/home.html\">Lombard Odier Investment Managers<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/capitalrisque-fr.ch\/\">Capital Risque Fribourg<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.btomorrowv.com\/\">Btomorrow Ventures<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.btomorrowv.com\/\">Amcor Ventures<\/a>, Rosebrook, and the King Baudouin Foundation via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rothschildandco.com\/en\/corporate-sustainability\/randco4generations\/\">R&amp;Co4Generations<\/a> fund.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in 2019 and supported by EPFL research, Bloom Biorenewables is developing sustainable alternatives to fossil-based chemicals, targeting applications in packaging, coatings, textiles, and beyond. At the core of Bloom\u2019s approach is its AAF technology, which enables the complete and stable separation of lignin, hemicellulose, and cellulose from plant matter. This allows for the full valorization of biomass components\u2014an essential step toward circular, carbon-neutral material production.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe support of our investors allows us to demonstrate the full potential of our technology and move toward large-scale deployment,\u201d said Remy Buser and Florent H\u00e9roguel, co-founders and co-CEOs of Bloom Biorenewables. \u201cOur ambition is to offer scalable, low-emission material solutions for the industries of tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds will be used to scale the AAF process and engineer Bloom\u2019s first-of-a-kind (FOAK) commercial-scale unit, while accelerating the company\u2019s market entry strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This latest milestone builds on earlier recognition, including Bloom\u2019s selection for Amcor\u2019s Lift-Off Program, which supports disruptive start-ups in the packaging space. With strong institutional backing and growing industry interest, Bloom Biorenewables continues to position Western Switzerland as a hub for innovation in sustainable chemistry and
