The latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fongit.ch\/financing\">FIF<\/a> funding round has awarded a total of CHF 600,000 to four early-stage companies, including three active in life sciences and one focused on sustainable urban mobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supporting brain health with long-term monitoring<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.brainscape-medical.com\/\">BrainScape Medical<\/a> has been awarded a FIF Seed Loan of CHF 100,000 to further develop its patient-friendly brain monitoring solution. Backed by the Wyss Center, the start-up is working to improve the management of brain disorders with an end-to-end technology that facilitates long-term monitoring outside clinical settings. The funding will support product development and clinical validation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Western Switzerland for Innovative Neurotech (Brainscape Medical)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Lbe2SG0eZa4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Improving pet healthcare through smart monitoring<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/animalcareengineering.com\/\">AnimalCare Engineering<\/a> has received a CHF 50,000 FIF Grant to advance real-time pet health monitoring technologies. The start-up, supported by CERN Venture Connect, is developing diagnostic devices that offer insights into conditions such as diabetes. The grant will fund testing and refinement of the technology, enabling better care for companion animals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advancing urban mobility through sustainable transport<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/flowride.org\/\">FlowRide<\/a>, a mobility start-up led by Eric Pascal, has received a CHF 50,000 Grant, co-funded by FONGIT and the Fondation Modus. The project promotes eco-friendly transportation through a digital platform designed to make sustainable travel more accessible in urban areas. The funding will support development and deployment of the initial version of the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Scaling innovation in retinal imaging<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.earlysight.com\/\">EarlySight<\/a>, an EPFL spin-off based in Geneva, has received a CHF 400,000 FIF Growth Loan to scale its retinal imaging technology, which offers single-cell level visualization for early detection of conditions like macular degeneration and glaucoma.
