Starting October 2025, the Lausanne-based campus will open 2,000 m\u00b2 of new fitted-out space in the upcoming Trypto building, including 18 private laboratories tailored for biotech, medtech, diagnostics and other health-focused ventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new facilities aim to provide scale-ups with dedicated lab and office space without the constraints of long-term leases. Each unit includes plug-and-play infrastructure and access to shared technical amenities such as a fume hoods room, washing facilities, freezer storage, and general storage areas. A full floor of private offices, shared meeting rooms and a communal kitchenette further foster collaboration while preserving autonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This new lab concept builds on the success of existing facilities such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.biopole.ch\/workspaces\/laboratories\/startlab\/\">StartLab<\/a>, Biop\u00f4le\u2019s co-working laboratory incubator, and <a href=\"https:\/\/superlabsuisse.com\/\">Superlab Suisse<\/a>, which offers fully serviced lab spaces. Together, these programs currently host over 30 early-stage companies on campus. The new private laboratories represent a natural next step for start-ups ready to grow beyond incubator space while maintaining flexibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe need for adaptable infrastructure is growing alongside the companies themselves,\u201d says Biop\u00f4le. \u201cWith this new offer, we\u2019re providing autonomy and agility in equal measure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A number of companies have already reserved space, underscoring the strong demand for growth-friendly lab environments in the Lake Geneva region. Located in the Trypto building, owned by Edmond de Rothschild Real Estate SICAV, the new units are positioned to integrate seamlessly into Biop\u00f4le\u2019s broader innovation ecosystem, which also
