Fribourg-based sportswear start-up Revario<\/a> has reached CHF 1 million in turnover, a significant milestone for the young company, which has so far generated most of its sales in French-speaking Switzerland. Founded by Michael Ingram, Revario specializes in technical outdoor and trail running apparel produced locally in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Established in 2021, Revario manufactures its products in its studio in Marly, using sustainable materials sourced within a maximum radius of 600 kilometers. In addition to standard collections, the company offers customized products for corporate clients as well as a repair service, aiming to extend the lifespan of its garments and reduce environmental impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, sales are typically stronger in winter than in summer, reflecting the higher price point of winter sports items such as down jackets and ski trousers, which represent a substantial share of revenues. Revario attributes its growth to a combination of local manufacturing, competitive pricing compared with international brands, and a distinctive marketing approach targeting outdoor enthusiasts and Swiss organizations seeking responsibly made technical clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Preparing for expansion beyond French-speaking Switzerland<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

After overcoming early challenges related to financing and production capacity in a niche market, Revario is now focusing on geographic expansion. Since summer 2025, the company has strengthened its sales and marketing presence in German-speaking Switzerland, with initial growth recorded from autumn 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support this expansion, Revario has launched a crowd-investing campaign, raising around CHF 792,000 toward a target of CHF 906,000.
