SWISSto12<\/a>, a space technology company and spin-off of EPFL, has closed a USD 70 million Series C funding round. The raise follows a period of sustained commercial growth, with revenue of USD 140 million in 2025, total contract values now exceeding USD 500 million, and positive EBITDA expected in 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SWISSto12 uses patented design and manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing, to produce payloads that can be hosted on any platform and mission, in any orbit, whether on a third-party satellite or on its own compact geostationary platform, HummingSat. The Series C follows an award of USD 84.8 million (EUR 73 million) from European Space Agency (ESA) Member States to the HummingSat ARTES partnership project, through which the ESA supports the development and in-orbit validation of HummingSat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, the company has secured seven contracts for its HummingSat geostationary small satellite with leading global satellite operators, including SES and Viasat. It has also expanded its HummingLink multi-orbit payload and antenna business into low Earth orbit constellation programs and diverse missions across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, with more than 2,000 HummingLink solutions now deployed in orbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company reports a compound annual growth rate of 110% since 2022, as demand rises for space-based infrastructure spanning applications from direct-to-device connectivity and media broadcasting to intersatellite data relays and sovereign communications.
