Ces rendements plafonneront probablement \u00e0 environ 27 % dans un avenir pr\u00e9visible, en raison de limites thermodynamiques fondamentales. Les modules int\u00e9grant ces cellules solaires auront des rendements maximums d&rsquo;environ 23-25%.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, ces limites peuvent \u00eatre surmont\u00e9es en combinant le silicium avec une cellule solaire compl\u00e9mentaire qui absorbe la partie bleue-verte du spectre solaire et l&rsquo;utilise plus efficacement, formant ce qui est appel\u00e9 un \u00ab\u00a0tandem\u00a0\u00bb. Parmi les diff\u00e9rents mat\u00e9riaux pouvant \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s pour un tandem, les p\u00e9rovskites \u00e0 base d&rsquo;halog\u00e9nure se sont r\u00e9cemment r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9es \u00eatre les plus adapt\u00e9es pour augmenter l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 du silicium sans ajouter de co\u00fbts de fabrication substantiels.<\/p>\n<p>A Neuch\u00e2tel, des scientifiques du Laboratoire de photovolta\u00efque et d&rsquo;\u00e9lectronique en couches minces (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfl.ch\/labs\/pvlab\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">PV-lab<\/a>) de l&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfl.ch\/about\/campus\/fr\/neuchatel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EPFL<\/a> ont mis au point une m\u00e9thode pour faire cro\u00eetre de mani\u00e8re uniforme des couches de p\u00e9rovskite sur du silicium textur\u00e9. Les chercheurs ont am\u00e9lior\u00e9 le processus de cristallisation de la p\u00e9rovskite et d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 des couches hautement transparentes, ce qui a permis de cr\u00e9er des cellules solaires tandem avec un rendement de 29,2% sur une surface de 1 cm<sup>2<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Ce rendement a \u00e9t\u00e9 certifi\u00e9 par l\u2019institut ind\u00e9pendant Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ise.fraunhofer.de\/en.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fraunhofer ISE<\/a>) en Allemagne, ce qui repr\u00e9sente un nouveau record mondial pour un dispositif silicium-p\u00e9rovskite enti\u00e8rement textur\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h4>Des perspectives prometteuses de r\u00e9duction des co\u00fbts de la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique<\/h4>\n<p>Les chercheurs voient d\u00e9j\u00e0 la possibilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;atteindre des rendements sup\u00e9rieurs \u00e0 30 % en tirant parti du courant \u00e9lev\u00e9 fourni par la texture du silicium.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Plusieurs ann\u00e9es de R&amp;D sont encore n\u00e9cessaires pour mettre sur le march\u00e9 une telle technologie et de tels proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de fabrication \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Christophe Ballif, responsable du PV-lab de l&rsquo;EPFL. \u00ab Un grand d\u00e9fi sera de d\u00e9velopper des cellules solaires qui pourront rester stables sur nos toits pendant plus de 25 ans.
