ChemCrow, qui int\u00e8gre 18 outils sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, devrait r\u00e9volutionner la synth\u00e8se organique et la d\u00e9couverte de m\u00e9dicaments, en offrant une approche plus efficace aux chimistes chevronn\u00e9s comme aux nouveaux venus dans le domaine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La chimie a longtemps pos\u00e9 des probl\u00e8mes d&rsquo;automatisation en raison de ses processus complexes et des connaissances approfondies requises pour les ma\u00eetriser. Les outils de calcul traditionnels, bien qu&rsquo;avanc\u00e9s, restent souvent sous-utilis\u00e9s en raison de leur complexit\u00e9. Faisant partie du nouveau <a href=\"https:\/\/ai.epfl.ch\/\">AI Center de l&rsquo;EPFL<\/a>, l&rsquo;\u00e9quipe dirig\u00e9e par Philippe Schwaller vise \u00e0 combler cette lacune avec ChemCrow. \u00ab On peut se demander pourquoi un corbeau (ndlr: Crow en anglais) \u00bb, explique Philippe Schwaller. \u00ab Parce que les corbeaux sont connus pour bien utiliser les outils.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e9velopp\u00e9 par les doctorants Andres Bran et Oliver Schilter en collaboration avec Sam Cox et le professeur Andrew White, ChemCrow s&rsquo;appuie sur de grands mod\u00e8les de langage tels que GPT-4, am\u00e9lior\u00e9s par LangChain pour une int\u00e9gration transparente des outils. Cette IA g\u00e8re de mani\u00e8re autonome des t\u00e2ches de synth\u00e8se chimique, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un ensemble de logiciels sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, dont WebSearch pour la recherche d&rsquo;informations en ligne, LitSearch pour l&rsquo;extraction de litt\u00e9rature scientifique, et divers outils mol\u00e9culaires et r\u00e9actionnels pour l&rsquo;analyse chimique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Synth\u00e8se chimique autonome et applications concr\u00e8tes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>ChemCrow est capable de planifier et d&rsquo;ex\u00e9cuter des synth\u00e8ses chimiques de mani\u00e8re autonome. Parmi ses r\u00e9alisations notables, citons la cr\u00e9ation d&rsquo;un insectifuge, la synth\u00e8se de divers organocatalyseurs et la d\u00e9couverte de nouveaux chromophores, essentiels dans l&rsquo;industrie des teintures et des pigments. L&rsquo;IA se distingue par son processus de raisonnement structur\u00e9, qui refl\u00e8te l&rsquo;approche d&rsquo;un expert humain, mais avec une pr\u00e9cision accrue. \u00ab Le syst\u00e8me est analogue \u00e0 un expert humain ayant acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une calculatrice et \u00e0 des bases de donn\u00e9es qui non seulement am\u00e9liorent l&rsquo;efficacit\u00e9 de l&rsquo;expert, mais le rendent aussi plus factuel &#8211; dans le cas de ChemCrow, en r\u00e9duisant les hallucinations \u00bb, explique Andres Camilo Marulanda Bran, premier auteur de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>D\u00e8s qu&rsquo;il re\u00e7oit un message, ChemCrow planifie strat\u00e9giquement la t\u00e2che, s\u00e9lectionne les outils appropri\u00e9s et affine son approche de mani\u00e8re it\u00e9rative en fonction des r\u00e9sultats. Ce processus m\u00e9ticuleux garantit que les actions de ChemCrow sont fond\u00e9es sur des applications pratiques et adapt\u00e9es aux environnements de laboratoire du monde r\u00e9el.
