La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 medtech vaudoise Distalmotion<\/a> a re\u00e7u l’autorisation De Novo<\/a> de la Food and Drug Administration (FDA) am\u00e9ricaine pour son robot chirurgical Dexter. Cette \u00e9tape permet \u00e0 Distalmotion de commercialiser Dexter pour la r\u00e9paration des hernies inguinales chez l’adulte aux Etats-Unis, marquant ainsi une entr\u00e9e significative sur le march\u00e9 am\u00e9ricain des centres de chirurgie ambulatoire (ASC). Avec plus de 1\u2019300 patients trait\u00e9s avec succ\u00e8s en Europe, Dexter est bien positionn\u00e9 pour apporter la chirurgie assist\u00e9e par robot dans les centres de chirurgie ambulatoire \u00e0 haut volume aux \u00c9tats-Unis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le syst\u00e8me Dexter de Distalmotion r\u00e9pond \u00e0 la demande croissante des centres de chirurgie ambulatoire en offrant une plateforme robotique compacte et mobile qui s’int\u00e8gre parfaitement aux flux de travail des salles d’op\u00e9ration existantes. Sa conception unique permet aux chirurgiens d’\u00eatre flexibles, de passer sans effort des techniques robotiques aux techniques manuelles et d’offrir une plateforme \u00ab ouverte \u00bb compatible avec les outils laparoscopiques et les syst\u00e8mes d’imagerie d’autres fabricants. Selon le Dr William Hope, directeur du programme de r\u00e9sidence en chirurgie g\u00e9n\u00e9rale \u00e0 Novant Health, l’accessibilit\u00e9 et la conception ergonomique de Dexter \u00ab permettront sans aucun doute \u00e0 un plus grand nombre de patients de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de la chirurgie assist\u00e9e par robot \u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le facteur de forme rationalis\u00e9 de Dexter et les options d’instruments \u00e0 usage unique le rendent particuli\u00e8rement avantageux pour les \u00e9tablissements ambulatoires o\u00f9 la rentabilit\u00e9 et l’efficacit\u00e9 du flux de travail sont des priorit\u00e9s. La console intuitive du syst\u00e8me donne aux chirurgiens un acc\u00e8s direct au patient pour un meilleur contr\u00f4le et une plus grande efficacit\u00e9. L’autorisation De Novo de la FDA positionne Dexter comme une solution polyvalente pour les ASC, en accord avec les r\u00e9cents mouvements strat\u00e9giques de Distalmotion. En septembre, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 a obtenu un financement de Revival Healthcare et du Swiss Entrepreneurs Fund pour soutenir l’expansion mondiale de Dexter<\/a>, avec en ligne de mire le march\u00e9 am\u00e9ricain.
