Cet ambitieux b\u00e2timent de sept \u00e9tages, dont deux souterrains, sera situ\u00e9 sur le site du parking Colladon, et sa construction devrait d\u00e9buter en 2026. Con\u00e7u par KAAN Architecten de Rotterdam et Celnikier &amp; Grabli Architectes de Paris, le BSA r\u00e9pondra au besoin pressant d&rsquo;isoler les \u00e9quipements sensibles des perturbations ext\u00e9rieures qui pourraient compromettre les r\u00e9sultats de la recherche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;ASB a pour but de fournir un environnement exempt d&rsquo;interf\u00e9rences externes telles que les perturbations \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tiques, les vibrations et les fluctuations de temp\u00e9rature. \u00ab Pour rester \u00e0 la pointe de la R&amp;D, l&rsquo;EPFL a besoin d&rsquo;une installation qui puisse r\u00e9pondre aux exigences exp\u00e9rimentales actuelles et futures des scientifiques \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Anna Fontcuberta i Morral, pr\u00e9sidente d\u00e9l\u00e9gu\u00e9e de l&rsquo;EPFL et responsable du projet ASB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;une des caract\u00e9ristiques de l&rsquo;ASB est un \u00ab silo \u00bb central, d\u00e9tach\u00e9 du reste du b\u00e2timent et mont\u00e9 sur des ressorts pour minimiser les vibrations. Ce silo abritera les \u00e9quipements de chauffage, de ventilation et de climatisation ainsi que d&rsquo;autres \u00e9quipements afin d&rsquo;\u00e9viter que le bruit et les perturbations m\u00e9caniques n&rsquo;affectent les laboratoires. Les laboratoires et les couloirs seront organis\u00e9s en couches autour du silo central, ce qui permettra d&rsquo;isoler efficacement les zones d&rsquo;exp\u00e9rimentation. Selon les architectes Jacob Celnikier et Marco Lanna, cette approche innovante permet d&rsquo;optimiser les conditions de recherche en isolant m\u00eame les vibrations les plus infimes, r\u00e9pondant ainsi aux exigences strictes de moins d&rsquo;un dixi\u00e8me de micron par seconde pour certains laboratoires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Un centre crucial pour l&rsquo;avancement de la science<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;ASB accueillera jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 600 chercheurs de 26 groupes et fait partie de l&rsquo;objectif strat\u00e9gique de l&rsquo;EPFL de renforcer sa position de leader mondial en mati\u00e8re de recherche fondamentale. S&rsquo;inspirant d&rsquo;installations similaires dans le monde entier, Ambrogio Fasoli, vice-pr\u00e9sident associ\u00e9 de la recherche de l&rsquo;EPFL, a not\u00e9 que les sp\u00e9cifications de l&rsquo;ASB ont \u00e9t\u00e9 influenc\u00e9es par les le\u00e7ons tir\u00e9es des centres de R&amp;D d&rsquo;\u00e9lite dans le monde entier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;EPFL accorde \u00e9galement la priorit\u00e9 \u00e0 la durabilit\u00e9 dans la conception de l&rsquo;ASB. Le b\u00e2timent a un objectif de certification et lab\u00e9lisation DGNB\/SGNI, avec des mat\u00e9riaux tels que le b\u00e9ton recycl\u00e9 et le bois comme composants principaux. Le projet de CHF 200 fera l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une consultation publique en 2025 et devrait \u00eatre achev\u00e9 en 2029. Une fois op\u00e9rationnel, l&rsquo;ASB servira de plaque tournante pour les chercheurs, renfor\u00e7ant l&rsquo;engagement de l&rsquo;EPFL \u00e0 faire avancer la science dans un environnement
