La Prof. Gerber est professeure et vice-pr\u00e9sidente de la formation au D\u00e9partement de radio-oncologie de la NYU Grossman School of Medicine, ainsi que codirectrice des groupes de prise en charge du cancer du sein et des h\u00e9mopathies malignes du Perlmutter Cancer Center de NYU Langone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude SHIELD \u00e9value une approche de l&rsquo;irradiation partielle acc\u00e9l\u00e9r\u00e9e du sein (APBI) utilisant <a href=\"https:\/\/herosupport.care\/products\/venus-shell\/\">VENUS SHELL<\/a>, un dispositif personnalis\u00e9 d&rsquo;immobilisation mammaire en procubitus con\u00e7u pour am\u00e9liorer la pr\u00e9cision de l&rsquo;irradiation locale tout en renfor\u00e7ant le confort des patientes. L&rsquo;\u00e9tude produira des donn\u00e9es cliniques sur la pr\u00e9cision du positionnement, la reproductibilit\u00e9, le flux de travail et le confort, et testera \u00e9galement le dispositif en combinaison avec des syst\u00e8mes de surveillance optique de surface afin d&rsquo;\u00e9valuer la possibilit\u00e9 d&rsquo;\u00e9viter les tatouages cutan\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L&rsquo;\u00e9tude s&rsquo;ouvrira ensuite aupr\u00e8s des sites cliniques partenaires en Suisse. L&rsquo;entreprise pr\u00e9cise qu&rsquo;un \u00e9ventuel lancement commercial aux \u00c9tats-Unis suivrait la voie r\u00e9glementaire applicable et reste distinct des objectifs de l&rsquo;\u00e9tude clinique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dirig\u00e9e par sa CEO et fondatrice Giovanna Dipasquale, HeroSupport pr\u00e9pare parall\u00e8lement une adoption commerciale plus large sur les march\u00e9s o\u00f9 le dispositif a obtenu les autorisations requises, dont l&rsquo;Europe o\u00f9 il est marqu\u00e9 CE.
