Berna Biotech Pharma<\/a> et Swiss Biotech Center<\/a> ont sign\u00e9 un accord de collaboration strat\u00e9gique pour le d\u00e9veloppement d’un vaccin contre le covid-19. Le vaccin, qui a d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une efficacit\u00e9 impressionnante dans des mod\u00e8les in vivo, est bas\u00e9 sur une plateforme de lign\u00e9es cellulaires humaines exprimant des glycoprot\u00e9ines structurelles avec des pseudo-particules virales (PPV) de support immunog\u00e8ne. Les PPV sont des mol\u00e9cules ressemblant \u00e9troitement \u00e0 des virus, mais qui ne contiennent aucun mat\u00e9riel g\u00e9n\u00e9tique\u00a0; elles sont donc non-infectieuses et incapables de se multiplier.<\/p>\n

Les origines de Berna Biotech Pharma remontent \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation de l’Institut s\u00e9roth\u00e9rapique et vaccinal suisse, fond\u00e9 en 1898. Dans les ann\u00e9es 2000, la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 figurait parmi les cinq premi\u00e8res au monde dans le secteur des vaccins, en produisant plus de 20 diff\u00e9rents.
