Et les chirurgiens peuvent avoir du mal \u00e0 recoller les tissus, car les points de suture font souvent plus de mal que de bien, ne permettant g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement pas aux tissus r\u00e9par\u00e9s de gu\u00e9rir correctement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Des chercheurs du monde entier tentent depuis des ann\u00e9es de mettre au point un adh\u00e9sif pour les tissus mous capable de r\u00e9sister aux contraintes et aux sollicitations naturelles du corps humain.<\/p>\n<p>Une \u00e9quipe du Laboratoire de Biom\u00e9canique Orthop\u00e9dique (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfl.ch\/labs\/lbo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LBO<\/a>) de la <a href=\"https:\/\/sti.epfl.ch\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facult\u00e9 des Sciences et Techniques de l&rsquo;Ing\u00e9nieur de l&rsquo;EPFL<\/a> a mis au point une nouvelle famille de biomat\u00e9riaux injectables qui peuvent se lier \u00e0 diverses formes de tissus mous. Leurs bioadh\u00e9sifs, sous forme de gel, peuvent \u00eatre utilis\u00e9s dans diverses applications de traitement de l\u00e9sions.<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;hydrogel produit \u00e0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epfl.ch\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">l&rsquo;EPFL<\/a> \u00e0 Lausanne (canton de Vaud) est compos\u00e9 de 85% d&rsquo;eau et pr\u00e9sente deux avantages essentiels : il peut \u00eatre inject\u00e9 partout dans le corps humain et il pr\u00e9sente une forte adh\u00e9rence intrins\u00e8que sans traitement de surface suppl\u00e9mentaire.<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab\u00a0Ce qui rend notre hydrogel diff\u00e9rent, c&rsquo;est qu&rsquo;il change de consistance tout en offrant une forte adh\u00e9rence aux tissus mous\u00a0\u00bb, explique Peyman Karami, un postdoc qui a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 le gel pendant son doctorat. \u00ab\u00a0Il est inject\u00e9 sous forme liquide, mais se fige ensuite lorsqu&rsquo;une source de lumi\u00e8re est appliqu\u00e9e, ce qui lui permet d&rsquo;adh\u00e9rer aux tissus environnants.\u00a0\u00bb<\/p>\n<h4>Un hydrogel polyvalent aux nombreuses applications orthop\u00e9diques<\/h4>\n<p>L&rsquo;hydrogel mis au point par les scientifiques fonctionne gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 une conception enti\u00e8rement nouvelle qui permet un contr\u00f4le ind\u00e9pendant de ses propri\u00e9t\u00e9s m\u00e9caniques et adh\u00e9sives. Le r\u00e9sultat est un hydrogel polyvalent que les m\u00e9decins peuvent utiliser comme colle pour les tissus mous dans tout le corps humain.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9quipe du LBO a b\u00e9n\u00e9fici\u00e9 d&rsquo;une bourse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.innosuisse.ch\/inno\/fr\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innosuisse<\/a> pour \u00e9tudier les applications orthop\u00e9diques potentielles en collaboration avec des chirurgiens du Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Lausanne (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.chuv.ch\/fr\/chuv-home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CHUV<\/a>).
