Atinary, the Lausanne and Menlo Park-based pioneer in Self-Driving Labs, has been selected as a 2026 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum.
Atinary, a company with operations in Lausanne and Menlo Park specializing in Self-Driving Labs, has been selected as a 2026 Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The company joins a global group of early-stage technology firms recognized for their transformative potential and their commitment to addressing major global challenges.
Atinary develops SDLabs, a cloud-based, code-free agentic AI platform that combines artificial intelligence and robotics to accelerate scientific discovery. The platform automates the Design-Make-Test-Analyze and Learn cycle, replacing linear experimentation workflows with a systematic search of large combinatorial spaces, which the company says can compress research timelines from years to weeks.
The recognition follows the opening of Atinary’s first Self-Driving Lab in Boston, a step toward moving AI beyond simulation into the physical execution of experiments across chemistry, materials and pharmaceutical research. As a Technology Pioneer, Atinary will contribute to the Forum’s platform, engaging with leaders across industry, government and civil society.
Founded in 2019, Atinary coined the term Self-Driving Labs in 2017 and counts partners including ABB Robotics, Agilent, Bruker, Chemspeed, Mettler-Toledo and AWS. The WEF Technology Pioneers program, launched in 2000, recognizes early-stage companies shaping the future through breakthrough technologies.
