Goodwall, Roofless Labs and Infera Neuro awarded FIF funding

Three Geneva companies have received funding from the FIF, the canton of Geneva’s innovation financing program: CHF 400,000 in FIF Growth funding for Goodwall, CHF 50,000 in FIF Seed Tech funding for Roofless Labs, and a CHF 50,000 FIF Grant for Infera Neuro.

Goodwall, Roofless Labs and Infera Neuro are the latest companies to receive funding from the FIF, the canton of Geneva’s innovation financing program supporting technology-driven start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs. Goodwall has been awarded CHF 400,000 in FIF Growth funding, Roofless Labs CHF 50,000 in FIF Seed Tech funding, and Infera Neuro a FIF Grant of CHF 50,000.

Goodwall operates a platform that helps young people develop practical skills and discover career paths through short, structured challenges on their phones. Founded in 2014 and already supported by FONGIT, the company now reaches more than three million users worldwide. The platform is free for users and funded instead through partnerships with employers and institutions, including UNICEF, alongside global technology, consumer goods and professional services companies. Those partners set challenges in areas such as AI fluency, creativity and leadership, and learners who complete them earn a credential issued in the partner’s name. A certified B Corporation and a World Economic Forum Global Innovator, Goodwall will use the funding to expand its team with new hires in marketing and partnerships.

Roofless Labs, founded in Geneva in 2025, is developing K4MERA, a compact camera that produces wigglegrams instantly. A wigglegram is a short looping image that shifts between several viewpoints to create a sense of depth, an effect previously achievable only with vintage multi-lens film cameras and lengthy manual editing. Already supported by Innosuisse, CSEM and Venture Kick, the product is built around four cameras working as one, with synchronized capture, calibration and multi-view processing taking place inside the device. The original frames are kept for photographers who prefer to edit themselves, and a companion application allows users to adjust focus point, speed and lighting after the shot. The funding will move the camera toward industrialization, prepare its commercial launch and consolidate its intellectual property strategy.

Infera Neuro, an EPFL spin-off from the Integrated Neurotechnologies Laboratory at Campus Biotech in Geneva, develops application-specific integrated circuits for brain-computer interfaces. These systems aim to restore communication for people who have lost the ability to speak, for example following a stroke or as a result of neurodegenerative disease. Where neural signals are conventionally sent off the device before being interpreted, introducing delay and consuming power, Infera Neuro performs the decoding directly on the chip, keeping raw neural data on the device. The grant will fund the incorporation of the company in Geneva and the next stage of development of its chip design.

The FIF supports innovation originating from the University of Geneva, the Universities of Applied Sciences, Geneva-based research institutions including CERN, and start-ups, scale-ups and fast-growing tech SMEs registered in the canton. It offers three types of financing across the Tech, Digital and Impact areas, and is supported by the State of Geneva, FONGIT, the Fondation Modus, the United Nations International Trade Center and the United Nations Environment Program.
