So Real Digital Twins, a specialist in automating the production process of digital twins of 3D objects, has raised CHF 2.5 million in a new financing round.

Producing pipelines of VR marketing material, games and immersive experiences requires enormous effort in order to create good-looking, game-ready 3D objects. To address this problem, Ian Ravenshaw Bland, Charles Flükiger, Peter Stähli, and Claude Flükiger founded So Real in 2019 with headquarters in Wabern bei Bern (canton of Bern).

So Real aims to accelerate the production of immersive experiences and to make virtual experiences of all products a reality for all manufacturers.

The start-up offers a patented scanning and conversion technology to facilitate the mass production of cinematic quality, game/VR-ready 3D assets for use in games, films, and all extended reality (XR) on the web, thus enabling access to immersive experiences.

With very little effort, So Real creates digital twins for its customers. Besides boosting customer engagement, the immersive experiences contribute to a reduction in product returns.

According to a post on the website of the law firm Walder Wyss, So Real has raised CHF 2.5 million in a new financing round by conversion of convertible loans into share capital.  Further details of the round remained undisclosed.
