Lausanne-based GovTech start-up DemoSquare has soft-launched its European platform in Brussels, marking the company’s first step beyond Switzerland as it aims to transform regulatory monitoring for public affairs professionals across the EU.

Following strong traction in Switzerland, where DemoSquare established itself as a key player in AI-powered political and regulatory intelligence, the company has launched a pilot version of its platform tailored to EU institutions and stakeholders. The move is part of a phased rollout in Brussels, where the start-up now maintains a local office and has hired its first Belgian team member.

The platform, built on proprietary machine learning algorithms, continuously aggregates and analyzes political data, helping organizations navigate complex legislative developments. Originally developed from doctoral research at EPFL, DemoSquare’s technology has already been adopted by multinational firms, public institutions, industry associations, and media outlets within Switzerland.

A strategic entry into the EU policy space

DemoSquare’s expansion into Brussels comes just months after it began integrating EU data into its system. A beta testing phase started in March, and a pilot program is now underway with select clients across various industries. According to founder and CEO Victor Kristof, the company has already secured its first EU customer, a large international technology firm.

This launch marks a significant milestone in DemoSquare’s broader European strategy and reflects growing demand for tools that bring speed, transparency, and intelligence to public affairs work. The platform enables users to monitor regulatory risks, anticipate changes, and support evidence-based decision-making across jurisdictions.

As part of its long-term roadmap, DemoSquare is preparing a new funding round for mid-2026 to accelerate product development and market reach. With operations in both Lausanne and Brussels, and support from Swiss and German investors, the start-up is well-positioned to become a key GovTech partner for EU-focused organizations.
