25 February 2025

Vaud-based DPhi Space has raised CHF 2.1 million in pre-seed funding to advance its shared satellite infrastructure, enabling affordable and flexible access to space for businesses worldwide.
DPhi Space, a Vaud-based start-up specializing in shared satellite solutions, has secured CHF 2.1 million in pre-seed funding to accelerate the development of Clustergate, its innovative platform for hosted payloads and in-orbit computing. The investment round was led by QBIT Capital, with participation from Zurich Cantonal Bank, Apprecia Capital, Kickfund, and other strategic investors.
The funding will allow DPhi Space to expand its engineering team and launch its first Clustergate platform into orbit, marking a significant milestone in the company’s mission to simplify and democratize access to space.
Clustergate is designed to aggregate multiple hosted payloads into a standardized container, offering plug-and-play access to space without requiring prior expertise. The platform integrates in-house-developed computing and software solutions, enabling AI processing, real-time data analytics, and cloud-like computing capabilities in orbit.
Aziz Belkhiria, Co-Founder & CEO of DPhi Space, emphasized the transformative potential of this approach: “This funding round brings us closer to our vision of making space more accessible through a shared satellite infrastructure. With Clustergate’s upcoming launch, we’re excited to support multiple commercial customers—whether they’re expanding their constellations or reaching space for the first time.”
The investment reflects growing interest in cost-effective satellite solutions that lower barriers to space access. Georges Khneysser, General Partner at QBIT Capital, highlighted DPhi Space’s disruptive model: “DPhi Space is pioneering a fundamental shift in how businesses access and leverage space infrastructure. We are proud to back this exceptional team and excited to see Clustergate take flight.”
With its first Clustergate launch on the horizon, DPhi Space is set to reshape the satellite industry, providing flexible and scalable infrastructure for businesses seeking to leverage space-based capabilities in a more affordable and efficient way.
