Geneva has inaugurated its first AI health hub at Campus Biotech to advance AI-driven care, research and neurotechnology in Western Switzerland.

The new AI Hub, Geneva’s artificial intelligence health hub, was officially inaugurated on 4 December 2025 at Campus Biotech, marking a major step forward for AI-driven healthcare and neurotechnology in Western Switzerland.

The hub is operated by HUG (Geneva University Hospitals), in partnership with the Wyss Center and the canton of Geneva’s Department of Health and Mobilities (DSM).

Spanning approximately 1,000 m² at the entrance of Campus Biotech, the Pôle IA brings together clinicians, researchers and AI specialists in a shared space dedicated to transforming diagnostics, care and neurotechnology through artificial intelligence.

Strengthening Geneva’s position at the forefront of global health innovation

The AI Hub is organized around four strategic missions: patient care and consultations, translational research, integration of AI in healthcare operations, and education/community dialogue. Clinical teams from HUG will offer consultations for brain and mental health, epilepsy, stroke, depression or sleep disorders, patients will also have access to cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic strategies, including potential participation in innovative clinical trials.

On the research side, the Wyss Center will lead AI-guided neuromodulation projects and support start-ups in neurotech. One of these, dEEGtal, develops AI-based tools for epilepsy diagnosis.

Beyond care and research, the hub will also support the integration of AI into hospital workflows: from improving patient flow and administrative efficiency, to developing tools for prevention and digital health. A program of training sessions and public events will raise awareness on the ethical, social and scientific challenges of AI, reflecting the hub’s ambition to combine innovation with responsible and inclusive healthcare.
