HES-SO Valais-Wallis launches a training program dedicated to cybersecurity
20 July 2021

Between scams and phishing, the rise of remote work has made the job of cybercriminals even easier. To address this issue, the HES-SO Valais-Wallis has launched a CAS in Cybersecurity.
Cybersecurity has become a major consideration these days, and it will be increasingly risky to underestimate the growing digital threats in the near future.
More and more companies and individuals are suffering the consequences of cybercriminals’ misdeeds, which can be worth millions of francs. Recent studies also show that remote work has contributed to an increase in the frequency of phishing and other fraudulent attacks.
As the number of organizations adapting to the digital world becomes greater and greater, in addition to a growing number of connected home objects presenting additional security concerns, cybersecurity needs to evolve accordingly. As it has become a major discipline in its own right, the need for qualified personnel is only likely to increase.
In this context, the HES-SO Valais-Wallis has set up a CAS in Cyber Security that is of strategic importance. Starting on 20 January 2022, it will be aimed at all IT professionals wishing to be up-to-date with the latest security practices.
This training will cover the entire spectrum of enterprise IT security, from governance to strategic and operational security while also addressing the legal aspects.
By working on practical exercises based on real-life situations, participants will leave with genuine added value thanks to the quality of the speakers who come from the professional world. Over a period of 6 months, the training will offer a complete overview of this ever-changing field.
