Neo Medical raises USD 20.6 million for its AR surgery platform

Neo Medical, a Vaud-based medtech company developing high-value solutions for spine surgery, has closed a USD 20.6 million financing round.
Neo Medical develops ADVISE, a virtual platform supported by artificial intelligence for spine surgery. This platform provides surgeons with real-time intraoperative augmented reality (AR) visibility for the first time, enabling personalized spine surgical treatments for each patient operated on with the system.
The medtech company based in Villette (canton of Vaud) announced the closing of a USD 20.6 million financing round. This round includes Swisscom Ventures as lead investor. The funds raised will support the acceleration of the commercial rollout of Neo Medical’s ADVISE augmented reality platform for spine surgery on the US market.
Vincent Lefauconnier, CEO of Neo Medical, explained: “Over the past few years, we have taken our integrated physical platform for spine surgery to new levels, improving surgical outcomes, streamlining the cycle of care, while also reducing the environmental impact and costs of healthcare. Going forward, we will focus on the commercial deployment of the digital component of our platform with ADVISE. This technology provides surgeons with real-time intraoperative augmented reality (AR) visibility for the first time, enabling personalized spine surgical treatments for each patient operated on with the system.”
