Sonix has secured an additional CHF 1.8 million in funding to expand its next-generation AI-Audio voice chat platform for gamers. The round was backed by prominent business angels, entrepreneurs, and family offices, bringing Sonix’s total funding to date to CHF 6 million.

Founded to challenge the dominance of traditional voice platforms in gaming, Vaud-based company Sonix delivers the lowest latency and highest quality audio communication across Windows, iOS, and Android. Its proprietary AI-Audio technology outperforms existing solutions and has already gained traction among competitive and casual gamers alike.

“We are on a mission to revolutionize the communication platform for all gamers, from Pro to casual, providing an ALL-IN-ONE, high-performance communication platform tailored for competitive and community-driven gaming,” said Nicolas Abelé, Co-Founder and CEO of Sonix.

With this latest investment, Sonix is positioning itself as the only serious contender to Discord by focusing on high-performance communication, meaningful engagement, and gamified user experiences tailored for Esports and community-driven gaming. In a move aligned with its user-centric ethos, the company is also opening up its capital to the gaming public through a new crowdfunding campaign, making Sonix the first gamer voice platform co-owned by its community.

“This funding round marks a pivotal moment in Sonix’s growth. By involving the gaming community in our journey through crowdfunding, we are giving them the opportunity to help shape the future of communication in gaming,” said Olivier Muller, Co-Founder and COO.

With more than 3 billion gamers worldwide, including 700 million in competitive multiplayer, Sonix is targeting a massive audience with a solution that enhances not only gameplay but also community interaction and monetization.
