Singapore-based Agridence has acquired Geneva’s Farmer Connect, combining their digital platforms to boost global compliance and traceability in agri-commodities.

Geneva-based agritech Farmer Connect has been acquired by Singapore’s Agridence Group, a leader in digital supply chain solutions for agricultural commodities. The acquisition combines Farmer Connect’s expertise in compliance and traceability with Agridence’s Asia-focused sourcing capabilities, enhancing the global reach of both platforms.

Founded in 2019, Farmer Connect built its reputation by applying blockchain and emerging technologies to improve transparency in coffee and cocoa supply chains. The start-up has worked with international roasters and traders such as Segafredo and Lausanne-based The Good Life Coffee, and developed consumer tools like the “Thank My Farmer” app. More recently, Farmer Connect focused on regulatory compliance, offering solutions to help companies align with the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

Expanding global traceability and compliance tools

Agridence, headquartered in Singapore, digitizes agri-commodity supply chains for crops including natural rubber, palm oil, cocoa, and coconut. Its cloud-native platform integrates AI analytics, geospatial mapping, and mobile data capture to provide end-to-end traceability and sustainability reporting. By joining forces with Farmer Connect, the group strengthens its presence in Europe while extending sourcing opportunities in Asia for Farmer Connect’s existing clients.

The combined platform offers compliance tools such as polygon-level farm mapping, deforestation risk monitoring, and supply chain tracking aligned with ESG standards. It also enhances audit readiness and facilitates automated ESG reporting for companies across the value chain.

“Many global agribusinesses, including large FMCGs, already use both Farmer Connect and Agridence platforms,” said Stefano Rettore, Chairman of Farmer Connect. “Our clients have responded positively to this consolidation, recognizing that fewer platforms mean less complexity and greater efficiency. This merger unlocks new synergies and opportunities, enabling us to deliver even more value to the industry as it navigates growing compliance and sustainability requirements.”

Following the acquisition, Agridence confirmed that all Farmer Connect services will continue uninterrupted while new features and expanded capabilities are introduced.
