APL, the first consulting and engineering firm specialized in the design and construction of data centers in France, opens a branch in Lausanne. The company’s ambition is to further develop its activities in Switzerland.

French consultancy company APL, which specializes in the design and construction of data centers, has just opened its first Swiss subsidiary in Lausanne. This branch will be used to develop the company’s business in Switzerland, with services focusing on the efficiency of buildings, IT resource optimization and environmental impact. This is the company’s first branch outside of France, with 75 employees in Paris, Lyon and Bordeaux.

“The creation of this subsidiary marks our ambition to pursue the development of our international activities while offering local support. It also aims to promote the values we stand for, namely the deployment of digital infrastructures that have a low environmental impact and promote local economic development,” explains Sébastien Ollier, Director of APL Data Center Switzerland.

APL’s establishment in the canton of Vaud aims to offer local large companies, SMEs and public institutions expertise on data centers throughout their lifecycle.

As part of its activities in Switzerland, APL will provide a full range of services: design of efficient, scalable and low environmental impact data centers, optimization of the use of IT resources and support infrastructures (energy, air conditioning, connectivity) in data centers, urbanization of IT rooms and reduction of the environmental impact of data centers and digital services.

Active in Europe and Africa, the company already has a dozen clients in Switzerland, including Infomaniak, Safehost and the City of Lausanne.
