Groupe Mutuel partners with Giotto.ai to deploy sovereign AI on its own infrastructure

Lausanne-based Giotto.ai and Groupe Mutuel, which serves more than 1.3 million clients, have begun a collaboration to deploy the Giotto AI model across selected use cases, with sensitive data remaining within the insurer’s own environment.

Giotto.ai, an artificial intelligence company specializing in advanced reasoning systems, and Groupe Mutuel, an insurer serving more than 1.3 million clients, have begun a collaboration to deploy the Giotto AI model within the insurer. Groupe Mutuel is currently exploring the model’s potential by testing it across various use cases and business domains.

Because Giotto is designed to be portable and efficient, the planned deployment will run on Groupe Mutuel’s on-premises infrastructure. This approach allows the insurer to retain full data sovereignty and business control : sensitive data remains within its own environment, and the company keeps direct control over how AI systems are operated and integrated into its internal processes. The collaboration reflects Giotto.ai’s positioning as an enterprise intelligence model and AI operating system rather than a simple chatbot.

From research lab to enterprise deployments

Founded in 2017 and formerly known as L2F, Giotto.ai drew attention for its results in international AI reasoning benchmarks such as ARC-AGI. The company opened access to its enterprise offering for selected institutional partners and public authorities in June 2026, followed in July by a free cloud version of its AI system. The model can be accessed through hosted Swiss and European infrastructure, deployed on private infrastructure, or delivered through dedicated Giotto-powered workstations and enterprise servers.

Earlier this year, Giotto.ai also announced a cooperation with RUAG for the distribution and deployment of its AI technology.
