Hilo, the health technology brand developed by Neuchâtel-based Aktiia, has closed a USD 19 million Series B extension round, bringing its total funding to more than USD 119 million, as it launches its Hilo Core blood pressure monitoring system in the United States.
Hilo, a health technology brand developed by Aktiia, has secured a Series B extension round totaling USD 19 million in new funding, bringing its total funding to date to more than USD 119 million. The round included new investment from Dell Family Office, the family investment office of Michael Dell, alongside continued support from existing backers, as the company expands into the US market.
The financing accompanies the launch of Hilo Core, a system combining a lightweight wearable band, a mobile app and an FDA-cleared connected cuff. Using proprietary optical technology and algorithms, it continuously captures physiological signals and is calibrated by periodic cuff readings, generating 30 to 35 readings per day, including overnight measurements, and contextualizing them with sleep, steps and heart rate data.
Originally developed in Neuchâtel and built on more than two decades of research, the underlying technology has been validated through eight clinical studies and is used by more than 200,000 people worldwide. Hilo Core is positioned as a wellness product supporting awareness and lifestyle optimization, with plans to expand into a regulated medical platform in the future.
The system became available across the United States on July 21, 2026 via Hilo.com and Amazon, priced at USD 89.99 for the hardware with a USD 149.99 annual subscription. It is also pre-approved for HSA and FSA eligibility in the United States.
