On 23 and 24 September, the 2026 edition of ILMAC will bring together Switzerland’s chemistry and life sciences industry under the banner “Inspiring the Future of Chemistry and Life Sciences.”
ILMAC, the trade event covering the full value chain of the chemistry and life sciences industry, returns to Beaulieu Lausanne on 23 and 24 September 2026. Organized by MCH Exhibitions & Events, the show traces its origins to the Swiss fair for laboratory, measurement and automation technology first held in Basel in 1959, and its Lausanne edition has become the largest meeting point of its kind in French-speaking Switzerland.
The most recent edition drew around 3,335 professional visitors and some 200 exhibiting companies across more than 20 industries, with 94 percent of attendees recommending the event. Participating organizations span the region’s and Switzerland’s leading names, including Bachem, Debiopharm, DSM-Firmenich, EPFL, Givaudan, Lonza, Nestlé, Roche and Sanofi. The program covers laboratory technology, diagnostics and bioanalysis, biotechnology, process technology, robotics and automation, IT, and pharmaceutical logistics.
The 2026 edition introduces a Future of Life Sciences Area, an interactive space dedicated to life sciences, robotics and artificial intelligence, complemented by a stage for talks and discussions. A two-day conference structures the content around Process Analytical Technologies on the first day and biotechnology, biotools and start-ups on the second, alongside a dedicated Start-up Area where early-stage companies present in concise five-minute pitches.
