The Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation and the Startupticker Foundation have launched the Deep Tech Nation Information Platform, a central resource aimed at enhancing venture capital investment in Swiss deep tech start-ups.

The Deep Tech Nation Switzerland Foundation (DTN), in partnership with the Startupticker Foundation, has unveiled the Deep Tech Nation Information Platform, a new initiative designed to improve access to investment opportunities in Switzerland’s deep tech sector. By providing venture capitalists (VCs) and institutional investors with structured insights, the platform aims to drive increased funding for start-ups and scale-ups in AI, robotics, life sciences, and climate tech.

Switzerland boasts a well-established deep tech ecosystem, yet its decentralized nature has made it difficult for investors to navigate efficiently. The new platform consolidates information, highlights key sector developments, and offers streamlined access to relevant data, helping investors make informed decisions. Joanne Sieber, CEO of DTN, emphasized its significance, stating: “By efficiently packaging information about the Swiss deep tech ecosystem, we are building a compelling message about the significant financial opportunities investors can find in Swiss innovation.”

The initiative benefits from collaboration among major stakeholders, including Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Basel Area, IMD, Innosuisse, SICTIC, Swiss Startup Association, Swisscom Ventures, Startfeld, and UBS. According to Stefan Kyora, Editor-in-Chief of Startupticker.ch, the platform provides much-needed clarity, offering investors a comprehensive view of the Swiss deep tech landscape.

At launch, the platform includes sector-specific insights, summarizing studies, success cases, and investment trends. Alexandre Meldem, responsible for the platform’s development, noted that it will undergo several iterations throughout 2025 to refine its features and further align with investor needs.

DTN has set an ambitious goal of mobilizing CHF 5 billion annually over the next decade for deep tech start-ups, aiming to double current investment volumes and indirectly create up to 100,000 jobs. This initiative reinforces Switzerland’s status as a global deep tech leader, fostering long-term economic growth through innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
