Wecheer raises USD 1.7 million to scale its AI-powered platform for consumer goods brands

Lausanne-based Wecheer, a pioneer in real-time trade management for the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry, has secured USD 1.7 million in pre-Series A funding from IM Ventures.
Founded in 2017 by Karim Choueiri and Aurèle de Bosset, Wecheer is transforming how CPG brands interact with customers and third-party distribution networks—especially in markets where brands don’t directly control the point of sale (POS). Its end-to-end platform combines QR codes, AI-driven analytics, and proprietary IoT devices, including smart bottle openers that detect brand, time, and location of use, to provide real-time visibility into offline sales.
Wecheer’s technology is already deployed by major global players such as Coca-Cola, Mars Wrigley, Pepsico, Pernod Ricard, and Kellenova across 13 countries. Its clients use the platform to digitize trade promotions, track results in real time, and reward frontline staff through automated campaigns. These solutions have proven to deliver significant return on investment, contributing to the company’s more than 40% year-on-year growth.
With this latest financing round, Wecheer plans to accelerate its expansion, further enhance its platform, and help CPG companies manage distribution more effectively. The aim is to solve a longstanding challenge in the industry: the lack of visibility and control at the last mile of the sales cycle.
“We are excited about the opportunities this investment presents,” said CEO Karim Choueiri. “It will enable us to execute our growth plans and continue delivering cutting-edge solutions that give CPG companies the control and insights they need to succeed,” said the founders, Karim Choueiri and Aurèle de Bosset.
The company’s solutions bridge the gap between offline purchase moments and digital insight, creating a more agile, data-informed CPG ecosystem. In doing so, Wecheer is positioning Western Switzerland as a launchpad for innovations in connected consumer technologies and AI-enabled retail.
Wecheer is currently in advanced negotiations for its upcoming Series A round, as it aims to scale operations and increase its global footprint.
