Switzerland Innovation unveils new map to strengthen international visibility of its ecosystem
29 September 2025

Switzerland Innovation has launched an interactive map to simplify access to its network of innovation parks, offering international companies and partners a clearer entry point into Switzerland’s diverse R&D landscape.
The Switzerland Innovation network brings together six parks across 16 locations, covering more than 260,000 m² of dedicated R&D and innovation space. Over 700 resident companies and 68 research partners are currently hosted within the network, which spans virtually all deep tech domains, from life sciences and construction technologies to photonics and quantum.
Until now, navigating this breadth of offerings could be complex. The newly introduced “Switzerland Innovation Treasure Map” addresses this challenge by providing a user-friendly overview of sites, infrastructure, and research themes. Searches can be customized across categories such as R&D topics, services, technological platforms, and infrastructure, which ranges from biotech laboratories and cleanrooms to outdoor testing facilities.
Sharpening Switzerland’s global positioning
The map is a cornerstone of Switzerland Innovation’s renewed promotion strategy, designed to unify the parks under a single brand and enhance their visibility abroad. “Switzerland is world-renowned for innovation,” said Thomas Gfeller, CEO of the Foundation Switzerland Innovation. “Our new map sharpens how we tell that story abroad, by offering a streamlined gateway for foreign companies and partners. It empowers our diplomatic network to communicate the country’s strengths in R&D more effectively.”
The launch took place during the annual Swiss Ambassadors’ Conference in Bern, where representatives from Switzerland’s diplomatic corps joined leaders from the innovation ecosystem to discuss how the parks contribute to the country’s international positioning.
The initiative also marks an expansion of Switzerland Innovation’s global presence. With support from Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE) and the Swissnex network, the new map will be actively promoted in 11 priority markets, including the United States, China, Germany, India, Japan, and Brazil.
