Business environment

15 December 2021

With H4, La Source is opening the first collaborative innovation platform dedicated to healthcare in the canton of Vaud.

The Institut La Source, under the aegis of the Fondation La Source, is launching H4, the first collaborative platform dedicated to innovation in healthcare. Financially supported by the canton of Vaud, this entity will accompany Vaud-based companies innovating in this field, at all stages of their projects’ development.

The H4 “Hands-on Human Health Hub” was created to address the many challenges facing the healthcare system, which call for a rethinking of numerous concepts and in-depth changes in practices. This platform will be operational as of January 1, 2022, and will generate original and beneficial collaborations between the various actors and stakeholders of innovative projects in healthcare.

Strengthening the position of the canton of Vaud at the heart of the Health Valley

The project represents an investment of CHF 3 million over 5 years. Half will be financed by the State of Vaud on the basis of a financing agreement, the other half by Institut La Source and its partners, which includes Biopôle SA, among others.

By supporting H4, the State of Vaud is strengthening the canton’s position at the heart of the “Health Valley” as a leading European healthcare hub. The H4 will complement the canton’s existing support for innovation and contribute to the integration of innovative tools and practices in healthcare.
