Serving as the central nexus for innovation and entrepreneurship, the Office is dedicated to transforming the wealth of knowledge, ideas, and research from students, researchers, and faculty into meaningful innovations that significantly contribute to society and the economy.

With the mandate to foster a thriving innovation ecosystem that shapes the society of tomorrow, the Innovation Office endeavors to inspire and enable the academic and clinical communities to translate their insights into impactful innovations. “We support researchers, students, and clinicians from the University of Bern and the Inselspital to develop their ideas and their research into commercial, impactful innovations or social innovations,” said Sébastien Hug, Head of the Innovation Office, underscoring the Office’s commitment to making ideas take flight.
