Nutrazur, a French company specializing in essential oil powders and natural health products, is setting up at PhytoArk in the canton of Valais, attracted by the excellence of the local ecosystem.
Nutrazur, a French company pioneering the safe oral use of essential oils, has just established its first Swiss subsidiary at PhytoArk, the competence center for natural extracts located in the canton of Valais. This marks an important step in Nutrazur’s growth strategy, as the company focuses on innovation and naturalness to expand internationally.
Founded by Dr. Bruno Obriot, Nutrazur stands out for its patented process that transforms liquid essential oils into powder, reducing the risks associated with their use while making them easier to consume. “Our mission is to promote the safe use of essential oils. Thanks to our technology, powdered essential oils are encapsulated, guaranteeing a controlled dose and simplified use for patients”, explains Dr. Obriot.
A strategic choice for innovating in natural health
The canton of Valais, with its exceptional environmental quality and infrastructures such as the PhytoArk, was the ideal location for Nutrazur. “The canton offers a unique environment conducive to research and innovation. What’s more, the activities surrounding PhytoArk and the remarkable support provided by Thierry Baglan and Dominique Luyet were decisive factors in our choice”, adds the founder.
Nutrazur plans to market its existing products in Switzerland once they have been registered, while at the same time conducting research into Asian plants that are still little-known in Europe. The company also aims to recruit a PhD student in biology to explore active molecules and their modes of action, while collaborating with local institutions such as the Agroscope in Conthey and Swiss universities.
The project was carried out with the support of GGBa and the Economic Promotion Valais. “In just four months, everything was in place: the company had been set up, contacts established with PhytoArk, the cantonal bank and local experts”, says Dr. Obriot, praising the efficiency of the support system.
