Tiffin Metal Products has chosen Schmitten, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg, for its first location outside of the United States. This international expansion is aimed at broadening distribution channels, accelerating growth, and servicing customers worldwide.

Founded in 1903, Ohio-based Tiffin Metal Products develops and manufactures custom metal solutions for a wide range of industries, including material handling. The company is well known for the innovative design of its UHMW-lined SST™ Gravity Chutes, used by e-commerce and delivery heavyweights to safely transport packages throughout their facilities.

In response to increased worldwide demand for its patented SST™ Gravity Chutes, Tiffin Metal Products decided to open its first location outside of the United States. Located in the German-speaking municipality of Schmitten, in the Swiss canton of Fribourg, the new site consists of 2,800 square meters of manufacturing and office space.
