Superlab Suisse will open a new laboratory at Campus Biotech in Geneva in January 2026, strengthening the region’s innovation infrastructure for life sciences start-ups.

Superlab Suisse has announced the opening of its fourth Swiss laboratory site at Campus Biotech in Geneva, set to welcome biotech startups and life science companies from January 2026. The new facility will offer flexible, fully equipped laboratory space and services tailored to the needs of early-stage and scaling biotech ventures in Western Switzerland.

The expansion completes the company’s national footprint, adding Geneva to existing sites in Lausanne, Basel, and Zurich. It responds to increasing demand for plug-and-play lab space in a region with one of the highest concentrations of life sciences activity in Europe.

“Geneva is rising as one of the most dynamic life science clusters in the world,” said Xi Zhang, Founder and CEO of Superlab Suisse. “With global institutions, cutting-edge research, and a fast-growing biotech sector, Geneva is shaping the future of life sciences, and Superlab Suisse is here to build what comes next.”

The Geneva facility will be located within Campus Biotech, a hub for neuroscience, global health, and digital health innovation. The location brings tenants into close proximity with leading institutions including the University of Geneva (UNIGE), EPFL, the Wyss Center, the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG), and FONGIT.

Tenants will benefit from a wide range of services including private and shared laboratory space, access to scientific equipment on demand, full operational support, and favorable rates with lab suppliers via an integrated e-commerce platform.

A thriving ecosystem for biotech innovation

The Lake Geneva region, often referred to as Switzerland’s “Health Valley”,  is home to more than 750 life sciences companies. Switzerland continues to lead the UN Global Innovation Index, topping the ranking for 13 consecutive years. In 2024, the country saw a 50% increase in capital investment in life sciences.

“Geneva is rapidly becoming a global hub for life sciences, where research and innovation come together,” said Igor Fisch, Chair of FONGIT and a serial biotech entrepreneur. “We’re proud to support Superlab Suisse’s expansion to Campus Biotech, providing start-ups with access to world-class infrastructure.”
