Neuchâtel’s Actival receives Venture Kick support to launch its innovative dental aligners

Actival, a medtech spin-off from CSEM, has received CHF 150,000 from Venture Kick to launch its Active Aligners, a groundbreaking solution addressing the hygiene challenges of traditional clear aligners.
Actival, a Neuchâtel-based medtech start-up based on CSEM technology, is set to transform the orthodontic market with its innovative Active Aligners. Addressing a major drawback of traditional clear aligners, the patented solution incorporates 3D-printed microchannels that promote saliva flow, deliver antibacterial agents, fluoride, and customizable flavors, and ensure optimal oral health throughout treatment.
Traditional clear aligners, while discreet and effective, can restrict oxygen and saliva flow, creating conditions for bacteria to thrive. This often leads to plaque buildup, cavities, and unpleasant odors, undermining their convenience. Actival’s advanced design resolves these issues, providing precise tooth alignment alongside fresh breath and enhanced enamel protection.
With the global aligner market valued at USD 6.3 billion in 2022 and growing at 30% annually, Actival is strategically positioned to capitalize on this expansion. The company aims to collaborate with dentists and dental clinics to bring its value-added solution to patients seeking improved orthodontic outcomes.
The CHF 150,000 Venture Kick funding will support Actival’s pre-launch efforts, including an expanded distributor network, trade show exhibitions, and a targeted digital marketing campaign. These activities are designed to establish Actival’s market presence ahead of the planned launch of Active Aligners in Switzerland and the USA.
